The Fruit of the Spirit

(SERMONS AVAILABLE HERE)

Paul writes in Galatians 5:22-23, “The Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” This Fruit perfectly characterizes the life of Jesus Christ, who has given us his own Spirit so that the same Fruit can also characterize our lives. As the Christ-centered Spirit helps us to abide in Christ (John 15), God grows the Fruit of Christ’s life in us. Through this series we’ll take a look at each of the nine attributes of the Fruit of the Spirit, and consider how they can be cultivated in us through faith in Jesus. (This series will take us up until Christmas.)

(*Disclaimer: it should go without saying, but simply because a resource is recommended doesn’t mean every view promoted by the resource is being endorsed. If you need to know that everything someone says is 100% biblical before you’re comfortable listening to him at all, you’ll never be comfortable—not even with yourself. By God’s grace, we can learn from all kinds of people, even if we disagree about important things.)
